It's really no secret that we (okay Bettie) loves old houses. If it is built after 1940, it's not for me. If it is old, down in a valley, and adjacent to the shopping district where I never have to drive a car it is for me. Lance, on the other hand, dreams of his brand new mansion on the hill where he can watch deer pounce onto his lawn in the wee hours of the morning. Because our ideals are so opposite, we had to strike an agreement. I get the final say where we live for the first 15 years, then he gets the choice the second 15 years and so on. So here we are, working on our 9th year of marriage and our 3rd old house!We both do really love it though, and we are both excited and apprehensive about the huge remodel project in front of us for the next few months. It should be interesting!

ReplyDeleteI like the idea of remodeling something old into something beautiful- ryan on the other hand is a lot like Lance. :). I'm excited for you. I bet it will look great when it is all done.
